# Share a result

> Send one exported video or one guide to people outside your workspace.

People in your workspace already see the project. A share link is for someone outside it. Each link points at one exported video, or at one language’s guide.

<Steps>
  <Step title="Open the result">
    For a video, open Share and choose the export. For a guide, open Guide and use Share on the language you are viewing.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Choose who can open it">
    Restricted is the default: only invited email addresses can open it. Anyone with the link can view it without signing in. Editing is available for guides, and only for someone you invite.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Set download and expiry">
    Downloading is allowed unless you turn it off. You can also set a date when the link stops working.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Send the link">
    Invite the email addresses that should receive it. A restricted guest confirms that email with a code. They do not need a Polysh account.
  </Step>
</Steps>

## If someone cannot open it

<AccordionGroup>
  <Accordion title="The link asks for an email">
    The link is restricted. The guest must use an email address you invited.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="An old link stopped working">
    Resetting a link replaces the address. The previous address stops working, including for people who already opened it.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="You want to take it down">
    Stop sharing removes the link and its invites. Teammates in the workspace can still open the project.
  </Accordion>

<Note>
  A new video export needs its own link. Updating a guide keeps the guide’s existing link.
